Safewords and Coffee Series by bookstorequeer

Fandom: The Losers

Pairing: Carlos “Cougar” Alvarez/Jake Jensen/William Roque

Rating: R

Word Count: 9728

Warning: Non-Graphic Violence, Implied Past Rape/Non-Con, Threesome, Polyamory, Angst, Fluff, Hurt/Comfort

Summary: They fall together easily enough, these three Losers. Roque likes waking up too warm but unwilling to shove any body away. Jensen needs the silence between the words Roque won’t say and Cougar likes the way Roque knows just how he takes his coffee.

Guess what’s back? Yup. The Losers Big Bang, where everything is love and rainbows, and you can create any kind of fanwork for the bang or as a complement. We aren’t kidding. We’ve had knitting patterns, comics, podfic, recipes, vids — so much talent and creativity. (We’re still eagerly waiting on interpretive dance, flow arts, shadow puppets, and macaroni.)

Did you know that Chris Evans can do comedy? And not just the rom-com type but also more of the over the top, goof-ball variety? Because he can and he did in 2010′s The Losers a largely panned film that I believe is better than most people seem to think. It doesn’t tone anything down and goes for the big everything: laughs, action set pieces, personalities-nothing is held back and once again Evans waltzes in with his bravado and steals every scene. A moment where he dances and lip sings to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” is a particular highlight.

Debating if I should spend the rest of my day, since I only had one class today and have nothing due tomorrow, either:

a) reread The Losers comic

or

b) watch the movie for the 3rd time in my life.

Why doesn’t anyone talk about The Losers?

You know how when you were watching The Losers you found yourself wishing for an origin story for the team? An origin story where the team is a pack of werewolves? Well, this is it. Read it. Love it. I certainly do.
